YouTube’s GIF Thumbnails: Do You Find This New Feature Useful?

it comes to videos, YouTube is your best bet thanks to
the number of videos uploaded daily. Last week, the company
added a new feature, a feature that reminds me of another
video platform — a platform that will not be named.
YouTube has officially made YouTube GIF thumbnails available
to desktop users, this feature will play a 3-second GIF when
you to hover the pointer on the thumbnail of a YouTube video.
The goal here is for you to get an idea of what to expect
from the video. But is a 3-second preview
enough to achieve that goal?

For now, Google’s AI determines which preview is to be
shown, not the content creator, which is a good thing.
So, over to you, does this seem useful and have you tried it
out on your desktop browser?

Comeon, Do you want to go without
sharing this article? Not fair
